According to the report, the villagers started searching for the baby after hearing the sound of crying. They saw the feet of the newborn baby in the wet mud and they rescued the baby by removing the mud.
Some people present at the time of the incident also made a video of the incident which went viral on social media.
According to the news agency, the villagers took the child out of the mud and took him to a nearby health center, where doctors tested the child and gave him first aid and later transferred him to a major medical center in a nearby town.
After the matter came to light, the police also took action and started investigation by filing a case against unknown persons for burying the child alive.
The British Daily Mail reported that the child’s health is now out of danger and he is likely to be kept in the health center for a week.
On the same issue, Outlook India said in its report that the child’s health is improving and in a week’s time the child will be transferred to a government-run child protection center.
It is not clear how many months old the newborn is and how many hours ago he was buried.
