Tehran: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has said that we will not start any kind of conflict in the region, but we are keeping a close eye on US activities for our effective defense.
According to Iranian state media, President Hassan Rouhani, responding to his US counterpart’s statement, said that Iran never takes the initiative in aggression, but that we have the full capacity and capability to defend ourselves, which is also our right.

Addressing the US President, President Hassan Rouhani said that we do not want to create any new conflict in the region but we consider it necessary to point out that US activities in the region are being closely monitored and any aggression is immediate and destructive.
Tensions between the United States and Iran have risen over Iran’s Revolutionary Guards’ successful test of launching a military satellite into space near Earth’s orbit, and President Trump has telephoned the Emir of Qatar. Later, the Iranian President also had a special talk with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
