Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that how difficult is it to make a ventilator for a country that can build a nuclear weapon?

Addressing a function at Comcast Headquarters in Islamabad, the Prime Minister congratulated Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry and said that the decision he had taken was of the potential in the Ministry of Science and Technology that Pakistan could build everything.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the things that take the nation forward are not its resources but its confidence. When the nation starts believing in itself, it moves forward.

Continuing his speech, Imran Khan said that as the nation moves forward, its confidence grows and it reaches such a stage and thinks that we can face whatever difficulties come our way.

The Prime Minister said that a nation can do anything when it reaches this mindset.

He said that Britain is a small island that has conquered the world, what qualities did it have to conquer the world.

‘We are suffering from the disease of dependence’
PM Imran Khan said that some things have come to light in the country due to Corona virus. One is that when there is a demand for vanity liters in the world, we do not have to import everything. Then we started thinking about how difficult it is to make vanity liters.

The Prime Minister said that how difficult is it to make a ventilator for a country that can build a nuclear weapon? How can we import these sanitizers, disinfectants, for 220 million people?

Imran Khan said that the shortage of ventilators in the world showed us that making ventilators is not so difficult.

“We haven’t made any progress in the knowledge economy, we haven’t spent money on education, we haven’t spent money on research because we never thought we could make something ourselves,” he said.

He said that when Pakistanis go out, they go ahead in everything. Why can’t we build that system here? The self-confidence that was supposed to come to Pakistan did not come. We are suffering from Dependency Syndrome.

The Prime Minister said that our ruling elite is suffering from this disease of dependency.

“When the demand for ventilators in the world increased due to the corona virus, we realized that there was nothing we could do and when we were forced to, we made decisions and tried to make our own,” he said.

‘Even if the authorities want, they can’t go outside for treatment’
The Prime Minister said that the second thing that came to light from the corona virus was that even if the authorities wanted to, they could not go abroad for treatment.

The Prime Minister said that it showed that we have to fix our hospitals, we have to invest in hospitals, we have to fix the medical infrastructure, what to do if such a situation arises in the future.

Imran Khan said that government hospitals will not recover until we and our ministers get treatment here.

Continuing his speech, he said that in the past it used to happen that only the child of a poor person would die due to drinking dirty water. No one was worried. Hepatitis C has become an epidemic in Pakistan which mostly affects the poor people.

Imran Khan said that now it is difficult that Corona does not differentiate between rich and poor.

He said that the ruling elite decided to lock down but did not think what would happen to the poor laborer who earns by working all day.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Narendra Modi, the strong man of India, turned out to be so timid that he shut down the entire country at once.

Continuing his speech, he said that poor people in India are walking 200 miles and never thought what the life of a common man would be like.

“If you don’t take care of the slums, if Corona spreads to the slums, it will spread to the rich,” he said.

The Prime Minister said that Singapore carried out a huge lockdown and the number of cases decreased but when the lockdown was opened, the Corona virus spread again but the virus spread among the migrant workers.

Continuing, he said that the Corona virus has taught us that we have to stand on our own two feet. From now on, while making decisions about Corona in Pakistan, we also have to think of the poor and daily wage laborers.

“We are calling them lockdown, but how will they take social distance,” he said.

Addressing the function before the Prime Minister, the Federal Minister for Science and Technology said that Pakistan was now in a position to export sanitizers and disinfectants.

Addressing a function at Comstick, Fawad Chaudhry said that a month and a half ago, Pakistan was facing a shortage of sanitizers and disinfectants and today we are not only making sanitizers ourselves but also have the potential to export them.

Fawad Chaudhry said that we are waiting for the

lifting of the ban on export of sanitizers by the Ministry of Commerce.

He said that Corona testing kits will be made in the world in weeks

And we started working on it.

The Federal Minister for Science and Technology also lauded the role of the private sector in the development of protective medical devices for frontline workers.

“A few weeks ago we had a shortage of protective equipment. Now the whole of Faisalabad is making protective clothing for doctors and front line workers,” he said.

“Now we need to consider which of them we need and which others we should export,” Fawad Chaudhry said.

The Federal Minister further said that now the factories are producing these protective garments, there is an abundance of them.

He further said that Pakistan is now also manufacturing its own N-95 masks. If these masks are imported, it will cost Rs 1,100 crore, while the cost of those being manufactured is Rs 90. This is a big difference
