Karachi: Zimbabwe is ready to settle the Pakistani cricket ground and expressed interest in the tour in October.
Zimbabwe is expected to tour Pakistan in October. This month, they were scheduled to play a series of 5 Twenty20 matches against Afghanistan in Harare, but it was postponed due to the corona virus.
Speaking to media, Zimbabwe Cricket’s communications manager Darlington Majunga said: “We will need clearance from our government for this tour. Due to the virus cases, the government had advised that our country is not ready to host foreign teams at the moment, but our hopes regarding cricket have not been dashed. Different teams have toured Pakistan and we are also in talks with the PCB in this regard but it depends on the permission of the government.
It may be recalled that Pakistan is scheduled to host Zimbabwe in October this year for 3 ODIs and the same number of T20 matches. The ODI series will be part of the Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, starting from July 30 between England and Ireland. This is the qualifying event for the 2023 World Cup.
