Rawalpindi: A young man was martyred as a result of shelling by the Indian Army on the Line of Control.
According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian Army opened unprovoked fire in the Lepa sector of the LoC and targeted the civilian population with artillery, mortars and other large weapons, resulting in Indian firing in Talwari village. The young man was martyred.

According to ISPR, the Pakistan Army in effective retaliation targeted enemy check posts from where the civilian population was being fired upon and shelled.
It may be mentioned that 1546 ceasefire violations have been committed by India on the Line of Control this year. 14 people have been martyred and 114 injured due to targeting of civilian population by India
