Introduction of Ahmed Yesevi (Mavera)
Ahmed Yesevi was born in Siram a place near Kazakhtan’s city of Sikim. His date of birth is not known but he died in 1166 in Turkistan’s city of Yesi. His name is based upon his city name which was ready merged with the islamic world even before his birth. Many inhabitants of the city were already embraced islam while there were still many Turks who never embraced islam. There were people having different faiths not only in the Yesvi city but other neighbouring cities as well. So there remains an hostile environment between the muslims and infidels and never agreed to united and that’s the situation when Ahmed Yesevi opened his eyes.
Ahmed Yesevi Family belongs
Yesevi’s father was Syeda Ibrahim who was a well known personality of Seram city. People had respect for him and they respect their whole family for the fact that they belong to the family of Ali (RA). Yesevi lost both his parents at a very young age and moved to his sister’s house in yesevi. He then got education from famous sufi preachers Arsalan baba and Behaid’din Sikabi. He has served Arsalan baba for 16 years and after his death he went to Bukhara.
Become the Head of Hamdani Monastery as well as Hasan Indoki
In Bukhara yesevi had completed his education from Yousuf Hamdani. After the death of Yousuf Hamdani, Abdullah Barki become the head of the Hamdani monastery and then next Hasan Indoki become the head. In 1160, after the death of Hasan Indoki he become the head of the monastery. After that he devoted all his life to spread religion Islam with in the Central Asia. He has trained many students through which a system of education get started with in the region.
He had also played an important role in setting up the sufi poetry and islamic literature through his poetry and it ultimately played a key role in setting up a strong base for islamization in the area. He had impressed many poets and also set up a learning centre in Kazakhtan. He sreved that centre at the age of 63 upon his retirement till death. After retirement he led his life in loneliness. He told that the famous poet Romi was bring to Konya by a Seljuk King and in the sane tenure Ahmed Yesevi had served the Islam as well.
Death of Ahmed Yesevi (Mavera)
He had died in 1166 in Kazakhtan and initially there wasn’t any tomb and later after 200 years Timur Lame build a tomb on his grave which later recognized as the great islamic architect and now recognized as a famous historical and religious place. In the year 2000 UNISCO admit it as a wonderful historical place of great Islamic architect. Later the repairing work of his tomb was done by the Republic of Turkey.
He is the Sufi and writing the islamic turkic and Mongol Culture
He has written his poetry for the common man. In his sufi writing there is a lesson of brotherhood and in his writing the islamic, Turkic and Mongol culture has been promoted. His students had created a lot of Sufi organization which later spread all across the world. His poetry has contributed alot in the development Turkish literature and paved the way for sufi poetry and literature as well.
Ahmed Yesevi work for Turk unity
He not only played a key role in teaching Islam to Turks but also worked for their unity. It is speculated that he had made wooden spoons and pots and used to sold those pits for living during his last days. It is said that Ahmed Yesevi came in the dreams of Timur Lame and gave him the good news of victories. So as tribute to the Yesevi Timur has built up his tomb in spectacular way. In Turkish the year 1993 has devoted as the year of Yesevi.
