England have dropped English fast bowler Joffra Archer from the squad for the second Test against the West Indies for violating the biosecurity protocol introduced due to the corona virus.

The English squad for the second Test of the series against the West Indies at Old Trafford starting today was announced on Wednesday and included Archer.

However, a statement issued by the English Cricket Board this morning said that he had been dropped from the squad and would go into self-isolation.

The statement said Archer would have to spend five days in self-isolation, during which he would be tested twice for corona virus, after which he would be allowed to be part of the team again after two negative tests.

A spokesman for the English Cricket Board confirmed that Archer had traveled between the Ages Bowl and Emirates Old Trafford to verify the biosecurity protocol.

The board explained that the fast bowler had stopped somewhere on the way home and this fact came to light after the announcement of the squad.

The players and staff participating in the matches are also wearing GPS tracking devices. Can stop at a specific location.

According to a statement from the English Cricket Board, the West Indies team has been informed of the changes and is fully satisfied with the arrangements.

“I’m so sorry for everything that happened, I risked not only my own life, but the lives of the entire team and the management,” said Joffrey Archer. I sincerely acknowledge and sincerely apologize to everyone in the biosecure environment.

“It hurts me to be out of a Test match, especially at a time when we have a deficit in the series. I feel like I have disappointed both teams and I apologize for that,” he said. ۔

England have not included anyone as a replacement for Archer and now have only one player in the entire squad as a substitute.

The absence of Archer, who lost 0-1 in the three-match series, could dampen England’s hopes of returning to the series in this match.
