US federal court has suspended a decision by the US president to ban the downloading of the short video sharing application Tik Tak.
According to the Associated Press (AP), Judge Carlos Nichols of the Federal Court of the District of Columbia in the US capital, Washington, suspended the immediate ban on downloading Tik Tak.
The judge indicated three days ago during a brief hearing on a petition filed by TuckTuck that he would suspend the US president’s ban.
TuckTalk had filed a lawsuit against the US President’s ban on the application in the United States on August 24 last month.
Tik Tak called his ban in the United States against freedom of expression.
The U.S. government initially gave Tick Talk and VChat a 45-day deadline on August 7 to sell their U.S. assets to a U.S. company, warning them they would be shut down in the United States if they did not. ۔
However, on August 16, the 45-day deadline was extended by the US President for another 45 days, after which TuckTalk began negotiations with several US companies and by the middle of this month She had agreed to work with Oracle and Wal-Mart in the United States.
Despite Tick Talk’s willingness to work with Wal-Mart and Oracle, the US government announced on September 19 that it would ban Chinese app VChat from September 20, while downloading Tick Talk. It will be banned from September 27.
At the same time, the US government announced that a complete ban on tuk-tuk would take effect on November 12 this year, a week after the US presidential election.
The Chinese app had approached a US court against the US government’s ban on downloading Tik Tak from September 27.
