Srinagar: Two Indian soldiers stationed in the occupied valley shot themselves with their own rifles.

According to Kashmir Media Service, two Indian soldiers shot themselves with their own rifles in Kupwara and Shopian districts of Occupied Kashmir. The first incident took place in Kupwara district where a Border Security Force head constable shot himself with his own rifle while on duty, the second incident took place in Shopian district where an Indian Army officer shot himself with his own rifle.

Indian officials have confirmed the suicide of the two officials and said that a case of suicide has been registered while further investigation into the incident is underway but the cause of the suicide has not been revealed yet.
It is to be noted that the number of suicides among Indian soldiers and other security forces personnel stationed in occupied Kashmir is increasing day by day. According to a report, 483 Indian Army personnel have committed suicide since January 2007.
