Two Indian paramilitary personnel commit suicide in Occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Two paramilitary personnel shot dead themselves with government rifles in two districts of Occupied Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Kundan Ram Kumar of Indian Border Security Force in Kupwara district and Mehta Kumar of Rashtriya Rifles 39 in Poonch district committed suicide with a government rifle.

The deceased died on the spot after which they were shifted to a nearby hospital where the bodies were handed over to the next of kin after necessary procedure. The cause of the suicide could not be ascertained.
It is to be noted that due to low morale and mental stress in Occupied Kashmir, the number of suicides has increased and since 2007, 466 personnel have committed suicide or been killed in clashes.
