Lahore / Islamabad / Karachi: Pakistan Defense Day is being celebrated across the country today with national and national enthusiasm.
On the occasion of Defense Day, 31 cannons were saluted in the morning in the federal capital and 21 in the provincial capitals. Prayers were offered in the mosques for the martyrs of the army and for the stability of the country, while prayers were also held in the places of worship of the followers of other religions.

A guard change ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi on the occasion of Defense Day on September 6. At Mazar-e-Quaid, cadets of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Asghar Khan Academy took over the duties of guards while 46 cadets, including 3 women, were on duty.

‘Event at GHQ’
A ceremony was held at GHQ Rawalpindi on the occasion of Defense Day of Pakistan. Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa laid flowers at the memorial and offered Fateha.

“We will not compromise on defense and security.”
President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that Defense Day reminds us of the passion and bravery of the Armed Forces of Pakistan and the nation which, while demonstrating, thwarted the nefarious intentions of the enemy fifty five years ago. I am still alive today, I can proudly say that thanks to this we have passed many exams.
In his message to the nation on Defense Day, the President said that the professionalism, war readiness and faith of our forces have made Pakistan invincible today. We have made positive and serious efforts for peace and security in the region but our eternal enemy has aggressive intentions against us. We will not compromise on our defense and security.
“Pakistan is a champion of peace”
In his message, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that 55 years ago, our Pakistan Army along with the nation proved to the world that they are always ready to defend the motherland at all costs. On September 6, the day Celebrated as a symbol of unparalleled passion. Pakistan is a champion of peace but it should not be considered as our weakness.

“Every hand moving towards Pakistan will be cut off”
On the occasion of Defense Day, Leader of the Opposition and President of PML-N Shahbaz Sharif said in his message that Defense Day is a day for Pakistan to unite against the enemy and it is a message that every step taken towards Pakistan. And cut off every hand. The martyrs salute the invaders and the zealous and brave Pakistanis while the great sacrifices of the martyrs for the protection, security and defense of the motherland are unforgettable.

Our heroes who were martyred in the line of duty
In his message on the occasion of Defense Day, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that those who were martyred in the line of duty are our heroes, those who sacrificed their lives for extremism and terrorism are also heroes of the nation, our future generations. Our martyrs will live forever in the memories.
