The warm air rivers is melting the Antarctic ice

Abu Dhabi: There is a strange news from Antarctica that the hot air is flowing in the form of a river and with its intensity the ice is melting in places which has formed big pits. That’s how the ice is melting fast.

In this way, the gusts of hot air floating like a river, melting the Jimmy ice like a crust on the Antarctic Sea, expanding the large gaps there.

Typhoons are also usually caused by what is called ‘Polonia’. Hundreds of kilometers wide pits have been observed so far. But so far scientists have not been able to know that hurricanes sometimes melt ice and never harm them and this is a mystery that was not understood until now.
Diana Francis, a professor at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, is hopeful she has found the answer. It carefully examines satellite imagery and climate data. For this, from 1973 to 2017, the major events of the formation of Polonia in the Vidal Sea were considered.

Research has revealed that heat and water vapor in the sky travel long distances in what is called the ‘air river’. One such river sailed from South America in 2017 and reached the Waddle Sea. Then, two months ago, in September, the winds above the Weidel Sea rose so much that the temperature suddenly rose by 10 degrees Celsius.

This weakens the snow and subsequent storms begin to break it further. But Diana says air rivers warm up hurricanes, and there is a strong connection between the two.
