The Prime Minister launched the ‘Second Phase’ of the Ehsas Cash Program

Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched the second phase of the Ehsas Cash program for those who have lost their jobs due to the corona virus.

Addressing the launching ceremony of Corona Relief Fund’s web portal in Islamabad, Prime Minister Imran Khan also announced the launch of a web portal for the second phase of the Ehsas Cash program where unemployed people can register and earn money.

He said that so far more than Rs. 81 billion has been distributed among 6.8 million families in three weeks.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that today we are launching a website for unemployed people where they can get money by registering.

He thanked the Prime Minister for donating to the Corona Relief Fund and said that he himself was overseeing the Corona Relief Fund and that the money would be distributed in a transparent manner. Will also be brought to the fore.

Imran Khan said that the government itself would include four times the donations in this fund so that these funds could reach as many people as possible.

The Prime Minister said that we are fully opening up the construction industry and giving them incentives.

He said that at present the highest price of petroleum products in the subcontinent is in Pakistan and so far in one month it has been reduced by Rs 30 on petrol and Rs 42 on diesel.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that New York was most affected but industries are being opened there as well. The more industries are opened, the more jobs will be created.

How do unemployed people register themselves?
Giving a briefing after the Prime Minister, Special Assistant for Social Security Dr. Sania Nishtar explained the procedure for registration in the second phase of Ehsas Cash Program.

Dr Sania Nishtar said the program was aimed at providing relief to those who have lost their jobs due to the corona virus and can register on the government portal.

The Special Assistant said that registration would be done only through this web portal.

He said that first you will be asked for your ID card and mobile form, then enter the code which will be verified for protection against virus and a form attached to NADRA will open asking for salary and profession details. Will go

Dr. Sania Nishtar said that the name of the company, contractor or employer related to personal business and employment will be asked in the form, after which the name of the district or tehsil will have to be entered.

Later, Sania Nishtar read out the certificate in the form and said that the portal is open for applications for 2 to 3 weeks.

After him, Federal Minister for Industry Hamad Azhar said that so far we have reduced the price of petrol by Rs 30 and diesel by Rs 42.

Federal Minister for Industry Hamad Azhar detailed the government’s relief measures to help small businesses affected by the corona virus.

Other measures include lowering interest rates and extraordinary incentives for the construction sector, he said, adding that the government would also introduce an interest-free loan scheme for small businesses.
