The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released an estimate of cricketers’ earnings for the domestic season

LAHORE: The Cricket Board has released an estimate of the income of cricketers in the domestic season, according to which the income of a player in the A-plus category will be more than Rs 3 million.

A player in the domestic A-plus category will earn more than Rs 3 million. Establishing a connection between professional philosophy and quality of performance is the true spirit of the domestic cricket season 21-2020.

In this regard, maximum rewards are being provided to the participating players to encourage them to perform well in this season starting from September 30. The lowest paid domestic cricketers will now be able to earn a maximum of more than Rs 32 lakh this year, which is 83 per cent more than the 2019-20 season.
This year, the player in the lowest category will earn a total of Rs 18 lakh in the domestic season 21-2020, which is 7% more than the income of the highest earning player last year.

After the official announcement of the schedule for the domestic cricket season 21-2020, the earnings of these players can be clearly calculated. This season, the best players of Pakistan in the National T20 Cup, Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and Pakistan Cup all in 10 matches. Providing an opportunity to show outstanding performance.

The 10 players in the A-plus category will receive a monthly compensation of Rs 1.5 lakh for one year. Players in this category will receive a limited fee of Rs 40,000 for limited style cricket ie National T20 Cup and Pakistan Cup while Rs 60,000 per player for Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. I will receive a total of Rs. 32 lakhs.

This is not the end of the series, but if a player in this category manages to reach the finals of any of these three events, he will be able to further increase his income through additional match fees and prize money. ۔ On the other hand, the monthly income of any player in the D category of domestic cricket is fixed at Rs 40,000. However, in terms of match fee, they will also be paid the same amount as the players in the A category. Therefore, if any player is included in the D category, If he plays all 32 matches, he will receive Rs 18 lakh this season.

Similarly, if a player in this category reaches the final of any event, his income will be further increased in terms of additional match fees and prize money. This income of the player in D category is 7% more than the income of the highest earning player in the domestic season 20-2019.

Last year, all the players in the First XI were given a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000. These players were given Rs 40,000 as match fee for playing limited style cricket and Rs 75,000 as match fee for playing long style cricket.

Director High Performance Nadeem Khan said that while finalizing the domestic calendar 21-2020, we not only kept in mind the three world competitions of white ball but also took care to improve our contracts which would help the players. He also benefited financially and became a strong candidate for franchise cricket and the national team by improving his fitness and form.

Nadeem Khan said that the PCB knows that Pakistani cricketers are not among the highest paid cricketers in the world but we are trying to gradually improve their contracts so that they can do more based on their qualifications. Earn more income as well as plan for a better future.

Nadeem Khan further said that the PCB generates its funds and revenue through cricket and it is also appropriate that a large portion of this revenue be used for the development of cricketers and the game. “I am confident that this increase will boost the morale of the domestic cricketers and they will not only perform better than last year but will also have the passion to get better contracts,” he said.

New Monthly Scholarship Structure:

Category A Plus: 10 players, Rs 1.5 lakh per month

Category A: 38 players, Rs. 85,000 per month

Category B: 48 players, Rs. 75,000 per month

Category C: 72 players, Rs. 65,000 per month

Category D: 24 players, Rs. 40,000 per month

Domestic contract players will be given a monthly stipend as well as a match fee, the details of which are as follows (amount in Pakistani Rupees):

4 Day Cricket (First XI, First Class): Playing XI, Rs. 60,000; Reserve, Rs. 24,000

Three-day cricket (Second XI): Playing XI, Rs 25,000; Reserve, Rs. 10,000

50 overs cricket (first XI): playing XI, Rs 40,000; Reserve, Rs. 16,000

50 overs cricket (second eleven): playing eleven, Rs 15,000; Reserve, Rs. 6,000

T20 Cricket (First XI): Playing XI, Rs 40,000; Reserve, Rs. 16,000

T20 Cricket (Second XI): Playing XI, Rs 15,000; Reserve, Rs. 6,000

Three-Day Cricket (Under-19): Playing XI, Rs. 10,000; Reserve, Rs. 4,000

50 overs cricket (under 19): playing XI, Rs 5,000; Reserve, Rs

Domestic Season 21-2020:

National T20 Cup (First XI): 33 matches; 30 September to 18 October; Multan and Rawalpindi

National T20 Cup (Second XI): 15 matches; October 1 to 8 Lahore

National Under-19 ODI Tournament: 31 matches, October 13 to November 2; Lahore, Mureed K and Sheikhupura

National Under-19 three-day tournament: 16 matches, November 5-29; Lahore, Mureed K and Sheikhupura

HBLPSL 2020: 4 matches

November 14, 15 and 17, Lahore

Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (First XI): 31 matches, October 25 to January 5, Karachi

Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (Second XI): 30 matches, October 18 to December 13, Karachi

Pakistan Cup (First XI): 33 matches, January 8-31, Karachi
