The “Ertugrul Ghazi” serial and what needs to be done.

Recently, the drama serial Ghazi Ertugrul, under the supervision of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has become very popular among Muslims around the world. Its fame had already spread in Pakistan a year ago, but few months back, on the advice of the Prime Minister, when it was aired on state TV, all records of something going viral on social media were broken. The first episode of Ertugrul was watched by so many people in Pakistan in just twenty days that so many people in Turkey itself had seen it in five years. Not only the Turkish government but also the characters working in this drama were shocked, and then in their messages they thanked the people of Pakistan and promised to come to Pakistan after the end of the lockdown.

Was "Ertugrul Ghazu" a Muslim?

The other side of the picture is that the liberal class is desperate for the drama to air in Pakistan, and is trying every tactic to stop its broadcast, or at least tried to eliminate the effects of it. So we get to hear from these liberals that this drama shows Turkish traditions and history, what do we have to do with it, we have our own history and our own heroes. These are the same liberals who for the last fifty years have never said a word about importing Indian films and Indian culture into Pakistan.

As a result, these liberals and some ordinary Muslims who have been subjected to their propaganda have frequently asked scholars of all faiths to comment on the drama from time to time and clarify the legal status of watching it. However, for decades and in the last few years in particular, there has never been so much discussion about the kind of nonsensical, nude, obscene dramas that have been shown on our TV channels. The kind of dramas we have and the scenes, people, clothes, houses and values that are shown in these dramas do not represent the people of Pakistan nor do they have any place in the Shariah.

I also have similar questions, so I thought it necessary to talk a little about this issue.

First of all, there is no doubt that in Islam there is no scope for music and showing pictures or scenes of non mahram women, and the requirement of taqwa is to avoid seeing such things. It is neither necessary nor rewarding to watch this drama, but for those who already have a TV in their house and they do not watch TV, they only listen to the news while listening to the news. The woman’s face is accompanied by her voice and the news of the plane crash, as well as the sound of drums.

Similarly, those who have a smartphone and internet and must have Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, WhatsApp and TikTok installed and want to play music, videos, photos and stories many times a day. , And looks at non mahram women, and they also have the option to standby on a mobile with simple buttons but they still stand on a smartphone, so if you see Ertugrul instead of seeing other odors. There is so much to learn. Yes, a person who does not watch TV, does not use a smartphone and does not have an account on social media, does not need to watch Ertugrul.

But the young man who already watches movies and nonsense dramas on Facebook and YouTube all day long, showing how a married woman can be a friend to another man, how a father falls in love with his daughter, how a home based maid has an illicit affair with a housewife, how a school teacher makes love and has an illicit affair with a fifteen year old boy in the eighth grade. How a man or woman in the house has secret sex with a girl or a boy working in the house, and so on and so forth. If a young person watching such dramas is encouraged to quit heroin and smoke a simple cigarette, that is, to leave these nonsensical dramas and watch Ertugrul, then there is nothing wrong with that.

In the last few years since the beginning of social media and especially tik tok, our youth, especially girls, have crossed all the boundaries of nonsense. And they make a pointless and useless clip of ten seconds and put it in their WhatsApp story, which has caused a lot of damage and great tragedies not only morally but also socially. Many homes and honors were not only trampled, but hundreds of homes were razed, divorced, honors were tarnished, murders were made, children were orphaned.

In the age we are going through today, the process of reading books and studying history has been limited to getting a degree only. Ordinary people are people. Even well educated people have stopped reading books. Imams use Google to view religious information and hadith references. What used to be education, knowledge, and the creation or distortion of ideas through books is now being done through social media and videography. With the passage of time, the tools of knowledge have also changed. It would not be an exaggeration to say that there is a difference between the Muslims of today and the Muslims of a hundred years ago, except for the Word of the heavens and the earth.

The face, appearance, dress, manners, mannerisms, language, terminology, attitudes, and even religious beliefs of today’s Muslims have all changed. Or have we ever considered how this change came about? Has this change been brought about by force of arms? The answer is no. This change has been brought about not by weapon war but by content war. If this change could have been brought about by arms, the British had ruled here for two hundred years, but they have not been able to bring about the change that has come peacefully to Muslims around the world through content war in just thirty or forty years.

Ertugrul Ghazi and the Past Nations

Ever since we regained consciousness, we have seen Afghanistan in constant wars. For the first ten years, Russia, then the civil war, and then for twenty years, the United States has been fighting a war there, but the culture of the Afghans has not changed, nor has it changed. He did not change the terminology or the concept of religion. Afghan women still wear the same burqa that they wore three hundred years ago. It is a different matter that the constant wars have worsened their economic condition, which has led to economic problems and some crimes to fill their stomachs.

Ertugrul Ghazi Urdu | Episode 77| Season 2

From this brief conversation you may have guessed that today not only is the Contemporary War being fought but the enemy is moving forward successfully raising the flag of victory. And we are still thinking of fighting the Context War. Legitimate or illegitimate Because the Turkish nation has a great history and in the light of this history they know very well how our forefathers defeated the enemy, and how our Muslim brothers became artificial priests in the Christian churches for twenty years. He continued to fulfill his responsibilities for the glory of Islam and how we have to deal with today’s enemy, that is why he launched this serial called Ertugrul and in fact this serial was expected to change minds and get acquainted with history.

What is our job now?

As this serial has become popular all over the world and is acting as an effective weapon in terms of its effectiveness, and it has gained the most popularity among the Pakistani youth, one of the results of which is that the Ottoman Caliphate Books on history have run out of market and people want to read and know the authentic history of the Ottoman Caliphate. Where was the time a year ago when even the most educated people did not even know the name of the Ottoman Caliphate and where is this month that the fifteen-year-old boys and girls who mocked on the talk of the Ottoman Caliphate, and its establishment.

They became aware of the struggle for independence and their curiosity grew that we should know this history in a more authentic way. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of the scholars and the Muslims who have the pain of religion, and especially the scholars, to seize this opportunity and make the Ottoman Caliphate their subject in their lectures, sermons and speeches and try to quench the thirst that This drama has created in the minds of the youth. Not only the Ottoman Caliphate but also the entire history from the Righteous Caliphate to the Ottoman Caliphate. What is the Khilafah, why is it necessary and where do we stand?

Pakistan Goes Wild For Blockbuster Turkish Drama 'Resurrection: Ertugrul'

In the past, we had to explain a lot, but with an effort by Tayyip Erdogan, the task of explaining has been done well and now we need to tell the real facts rather than explaining. This drama has undoubtedly broken a huge stalemate. Now it is our responsibility to cash in on it.
