Sultan Muhammad the Conqueror (Sultan Muhammad II) is the great mujahid and general of the Islamic world who conquered Constantinople at the age of 21 and destroyed the Byzantine Empire forever. Sultan Muhammad the Conqueror died on May 3, 1481. He is fast asleep next to the Fatih Mosque in Istanbul.
Muhammad the Conqueror is known not only for his conquests but also for his administration and ability. His reign is known for its tolerance and forbearance.
He was born in 1432 and took over the administration of the empire in his youth. After the conquest of Constantinople in the Ottoman Empire, he was known as Sultan al-Fatih. After this victory, Sultan Muhammad II gained tremendous devotion and acceptance in the Islamic world.
