While the fans have expressed their grief and anger over the defeat of the national team in the T20 match against Zimbabwe, the current and former cricketers have also criticized the national team and management for their poor performance.
In the second T20 match of the series, Zimbabwe gave Pakistan a target of 119 runs for victory but the entire Pakistani team piled up 99 runs each and Zimbabwe won the match and tied the series 1-1.
It should be noted that the performance of the national team, which remained unbeaten for a record number of series, especially the failure of the middle order batsmen, has put a big question mark on the preparations of the Green Shirts for the T20 World Cup.
Cricket fans are outraged over the defeat of the national team, while cricketers and cricket experts have also criticized the team over the defeat.
The list of critics also includes Shoaib Malik, who, despite being fully fit, has long been unable to find a place in the national team.
In his message on Facebook, Shoaib Malik said that inexperienced decision makers need to sit patiently and think, only Babar Azam and Misbah-ul-Haq can take these decisions.
“I think Pakistan needs an international whiteball coach who understands cricket well and can prepare the captain as well as tell the players about the future,” he said.
The veteran all-rounder, who last represented the national team against England on September 1 last year, accused the current management of the national team of likes and dislikes.
“At a time when the survival of your cricket is in jeopardy but the team management is still relying on likes and dislikes, then what else can you expect as a nation,” he said.
Shoaib Malik also claimed that along with the issues of likes and dislikes, if you do not allow the captain to make decisions, then this was bound to happen.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that a player has raised questions about the current team management, but Muhammad Amir has done so before.
Mohammad Aamir, in protest, announced his retirement from international cricket, saying he could not play cricket with the current management.
“As long as Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis are with the team management, I will not play,” he said.
Aamir had alleged that he was sidelined under the scheme and was given the impression that he did not want to play for the country.
