Shahbaz Sharif granted bail in excess assets and money laundering case

LAHORE: The High Court has granted interim bail to Shahbaz Sharif in a case of disproportionate assets and money laundering. According to Express News, a two-member bench of the Lahore High Court comprising Justice Tariq Abbasi and Justice Farooq Haider heard Shahbaz Sharif’s interim bail application in the Excess Assets and Money Laundering case. Shahbaz Sharif was present on the occasion along with his lawyers and party leaders.

After hearing the arguments of Shahbaz Sharif’s lawyer and NAB prosecutor, the apex court granted bail to Shahbaz Sharif in exchange for bail bonds of Rs 500,000. The court ordered the NAB not to arrest Shahbaz Sharif till June 17.
On the occasion of Shahbaz Sharif’s appearance, the PML-N workers tried to force their way into the court room.

Shahbaz Sharif summoned again

NAB has summoned Shahbaz Sharif again on June 9 after granting bail. Former Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has been summoned again on June 9 at 12 noon in a money laundering case. Has asked Shahbaz Sharif to bring with him the answers to the questions sent by the NAB investigation team.

It is to be noted that NAB had summoned Mian Shahbaz Sharif yesterday but instead of appearing, he submitted a detailed reply regarding assets through his representative Muhammad Faisal. After which the NAB along with a heavy contingent of police raided the house of opposition leader Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
