It should be noted that since the beginning of the trade war between the United States and China, tensions on various diplomatic fronts have been steadily rising. The two countries are facing each other on a number of fronts, including the US expanding ties with Taiwan and arms sales, as well as the South China Sea, Hong Kong and human rights.

On the other hand, due to the tension in Ladakh, India-China relations have reached the highest level of tension since the 1962 war. In addition, clouds of conflict are hovering between the two countries in the Himalayan region.

Pakistan’s reaction

A statement issued by the Foreign Office on the Indo-US agreement said that Pakistan has been constantly highlighting the threats to peace and stability in South Asia by providing India with modern military equipment, information and technology.

The statement said that the growing balance of power in the region is deteriorating due to increasing purchases of sophisticated weapons by India, nuclear weapons and missile tests by several international experts. Under these circumstances, India has expressed concern over the sale of advanced defense technology, calling it a threat not only to global values but also to the stability of South Asia.
