Saudi Arabia has performed a successful operation on a baby girl born with a heart outside her chest in a unique case.
According to the report of Al-Arabiya Net, the girl is 10 months old and her heart was born outside her chest.
The surgery took place at the Prince Sultan Medical Center and Cardiology Hospital in Riyadh.
During the surgery, the doctors cut the chest of the 10-month-old girl, removed her heart from the chest and successfully reattached it in its place.

According to the report, the girl who underwent the surgery was suffering from various congenital disorders, her heart and ribs were very different due to which she was suffering from various problems.

In this regard, the father of the girl, Hail Al-Mulhim, said that the girl was diagnosed with this disease even before her birth by the doctors of a private hospital.
He said medical tests showed his heart was tilted to the right.
According to Hail Al-Mulhim, the doctors of the government hospital had told that their daughter’s heart was outside the ribs and there was a big hole in it.
“Doctors had asked me to have an operation on the uterus before the birth, but due to the seriousness of the operation, I refused the surgery at that time and preferred to undergo treatment after the birth of my daughter,” he added.
He added that when he became convinced that the baby’s heart was out of his chest, he approached Saudi and foreign hospitals for treatment, but was disappointed.
He said that when every effort was in vain, it was learned through his wife that a doctor in Prince Sultan Medical City of Saudi Arabia treats such cases.

The girl’s father said that he went to Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Khalidi and he agreed to have the surgery.

He said that his daughter’s operation was postponed due to the global outbreak of corona virus and now the operation has been performed when her daughter is 10 months old.
Hail Al-Mulhim said the duration of the surgery was 8 hours, which was a painful time. He added that he was suffering from a mixture of sadness and hope at the time and the operation was successful.
