Abu Dhabi: Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United by 5 wickets in the match of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League.
In the 15th match of PSL 6 played in Abu Dhabi, Islamabad United batted first and scored 144 runs in the stipulated 20 overs in reply to which Lahore Qalandars achieved the target on the last ball.

For Lahore Qalandars, captain Sohail Akhtar and Fakhruzzaman started the innings but Fakhr proved to be the guest of 9 runs after which Muhammad Faizan came to bat but he also managed to score only 9 runs.
Captain Sohail Akhtar and Mohammad Hafeez batted responsibly. Sohail Akhtar played an aggressive innings of 40 runs while Hafeez was dismissed for 29 runs. Ben Dunk was out for 17, Tim David was not out for 23.
Rashid Khan batted brilliantly in the final over and scored 15 off 5 balls. For Islamabad United, Hassan Ali took 2 wickets while Fawad Ahmed, Shadab Khan and Fahim Ashraf took one wicket each.
Earlier, Lahore Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar won the toss and invited Islamabad United to bat first. Colin Monroe and Usman Khawaja started the innings. James Faulkner bowled Napoli to send Colin Monroe 11, Rohail Nazir 8 and Shadab Khan back to the pavilion for 7 runs.

Usman Khawaja fell victim to Haris Rauf for 18 runs, Iftikhar Ahmed was the guest for 12 runs and Hussain Talat’s innings was also limited to 14 runs. Asif Ali was dismissed after scoring 7 runs while Hassan Ali added 14 runs.
Faheem Ashraf kept resisting till the last over and finally fell victim to Shaheen Afridi. He was dismissed after scoring 27 runs. For Lahore Qalandars, James Faulkner took 3 wickets, Haris Rauf and Ahmed Daniel took 2 wickets each while Shaheen Afridi and Rashid Khan took one wicket each.
