Abu Dhabi: Peshawar Zalmi easily defeated Quetta Gladiators in PSL 6 match.
In the match of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League in Abu Dhabi, Peshawar Zalmi batted first and scored 197 runs in the allotted 20 overs. In response, the batting of Quetta Gladiators failed again and they could score only 136 runs.
In pursuit of the target, Quetta Gladiators’ Sam Ayub and Usman Khan gave the team a 62-run lead, with Usman scoring 28 and Sam 35, after which no player was able to make a significant impact.
Azam Khan, Mohammad Nawaz and Cameron Dalport returned to the pavilion without opening an account. Khurram Shehzad was dismissed for 11 runs. For Peshawar Zalmi, Mohammad Irfan took three wickets, Ameed Asif two, Wahab Riaz and Fabian Allen one.
Earlier, Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and invited Peshawar Zalmai to bat first. Haider Ali returned without opening his account on the first ball and Shoaib Malik was the only guest for 2 runs.
Kamran Akmal and David Miller scored half centuries while playing aggressively. David Miller (73) and Kamran Akmal (59) were dismissed. Roman Powell also played an innings of 43 runs while Rutherford was dismissed for 10 runs.
For Quetta Gladiators, Mohammad Nawaz took two wickets, Mohammad Hasnain and Khurram Shehzad took one wicket each.
