Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has now announced severe punishments for damaging the natural environment and cutting down trees. The sentence is up to 10 years in prison and a fine of 30 million Saudi riyals.
Recently, Saudi Arabia has planned the 2030 Saudi Arabia Vision, which will ensure sustainable environmental development in the country. The first project, which will be completed by April 2021, has been dubbed ‘Let’s Make (the Country) Green’.

However, the Saudi People’s Legislature said in a tweet
Criminals who cut down trees, uproot herbs, plants and herbs, tear off leaves and stems, tear and peel them, move them and remove their soil, will be given maximum punishment and fines. The Saudi People’s Legislature said in a tweet.

Saudi Environment Minister Abdul Rahman al-Fadhli also detailed the plan last week. Earlier in 2016, King Mohammed Suleiman also said that Saudi Arabia must reduce its dependence on oil revenues for a living.
Saudi Arabia’s environmental plans focus on recycling, growing vegetables and eradicating desertification.
