Pakistan’s rise in Test rankings after clean sweep against South Africa

After defeating South Africa in the Test series, the national team’s rankings increased by 2 places.

In the new rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan has moved up two places to fifth position.

Before the start of the Test series against South Africa, Pakistan was ranked seventh. After the victory in the Karachi Test, Pakistan’s points improved and now the national team has captured the fifth position with 90 points in the Rawalpindi Test victory.

South Africa has slipped one place to sixth in the ICC Test rankings. In the Test rankings, New Zealand remains at number one, followed by India at number two, Australia at number three, England at number four, Sri Lanka at number seven, West Indies at number eight and Bangladesh at number nine.
