Pakistan has announced a 29-member squad for the tour of England, which includes Fawad Alam and Sarfraz Ahmed, as well as young Haider Ali.

Haider Ali, a batsman of the national under-19 cricket team and a rising young cricketer, has also been included in the national squad.

The three-Test and three-T20 series between Pakistan and England will be played in England in August and September.

For the tour of England, a large squad of prominent players for both long and limited styles of cricket has been selected. There is a return.

Haider Ali was ranked in the Emerging Category of Central Contract for Season 21-2020 thanks to his outstanding performance in Season 20-2019.

Apart from Haider Ali, spinner Kashif Bhatti is also awaiting his debut. He was part of the squad announced against Australia and Sri Lanka but could not make it to the final XI.

The most surprising addition to the squad announced for the tour is fast bowler Sohail Khan, who played his last Test match in Melbourne four years ago.

Sohail Khan took 22 wickets in 9 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy matches last season and took 7 wickets while representing Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Haider Ali, Kashif Bhatti and Sohail Khan along with Haris Sohail have all been included in the central contract squad while Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, Khushdal Shah, Fahim Ashraf, who did not get a central contract, have been included in the squad. Imran Khan and Fawad Alam are also part of the squad.

Bilal Asif, Mohammad Nawaz, Musa Khan and Imran Butt have been included in the reserve players for the tour and in case any player’s corona test is positive, the players in the reserve will be made part of the squad as required.

Two wicketkeepers have been included in the squad for the long tour and Mohammad Rizwan as well as Sarfraz Ahmed are in the squad.

The Corona Tests for the tour of England will take place on June 20 and 25.

Fast bowlers Hassan Ali, Mohammad Amir and middle-order batsman Haris Sohail were not available for the England tour selection as Hassan Ali suffered a back injury and Mohammad Amir was not available due to the birth of his second child.

National team chief selector and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq says the selectors have selected a squad that is expected to perform well in both long and limited styles of cricket in England.

He said that the distance from the players’ field for a long time has been a challenge but he is hopeful that a month of full training in England will bring positive results.

Misbah-ul-Haq has made it clear that the selectors’ priority during the selection of the squad was long-form cricket as Pakistan has to play Test cricket for the next nine months.

The chief selector said that our players have not participated in any competitive cricket since March while the host team will face West Indies before Pakistan, so this series against England will not be easy.

Misbah-ul-Haq said the players have been selected with the future in mind and wished to benefit from the vast experience of young cricketers, Younis Khan and Mushtaq Ahmed.

The head coach said that the return of veteran Sohail Khan would further strengthen the national cricket team’s fast bowling department.
