Pakistani intelligence agencies foiled a major cyber attack by Indian intelligence agencies.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Indian intelligence agencies attempted to commit a number of cyber crimes against Pakistan, including hacking of personal mobile and technical equipment of government and military officers. ۔
The statement said that several targets of enemy intelligence agencies were being investigated.
The ISPR said that the Pakistan Army has taken further necessary steps to thwart such activities, including cracking down on violators of standard cyber security procedures (SOPs).
The Pakistan Army spokesman said that an advisory has been issued to all government departments and agencies to identify faults and increase cyber security measures.
It should be noted that India is constantly trying to undermine peace and stability in Pakistan in traditional and modern ways, but every time it faces humiliation.
On July 26, Pakistan Army soldiers shot down India’s tenth spy drone this year in the Pando sector of the Line of Control (LoC).
A statement issued by the ISPR said, “In the Pando sector of the LOC, Indian soldiers shot down an Indian spy quadcopter.”
The statement said that the Indian quadcopter had entered the LOC within 200 meters of Pakistan’s borders.
It may be recalled that Imran Khan had expressed his intention to establish bilateral relations with India after assuming the office of the Prime Minister in August 2018, but no positive response was received from India.
Meanwhile, Pak-India tensions escalated when a MiG-21 was shot down on February 27, 2019 for violating Pakistani airspace.
The Indian pilot of the MiG-21, Nandan, was also detained and later released by Pakistan out of goodwill and handed over to Indian authorities at the Wagah border.
