Harare: In the last T20, Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 24 runs to win the T20 series.
In the last T20 played in Harare, the national team set a target of 164, which was followed by a confident start to the innings by Zimbabwe and opener Wesley scored a half-century but returned to the pavilion with 59 runs. Marumani, who came down, also advanced the team’s score and played an innings of 35 runs.
At one point during the match, the Zimbabwean team seemed to dominate the game, but Hassan Ali bowled brilliantly and sent four players to the pavilion, thanks to which the Zimbabwean team could score only 141 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Earlier, Mohammad Rizwan and Sharjeel Khan started the innings for the national team. Both the openers put up a partnership of only 35 runs after which Sharjeel Khan was dismissed for 18 runs.
Opener Mohammad Rizwan once again showed great play and completed a half century while captain Babar Azam also played an aggressive game with the opener and completed half a century as well as making the fastest 2000 runs in T20 matches. Recorded his name.
Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam shared a 124-run stand. Rizwan played an unbeaten 89-run innings while Babar Azam scored 52 runs which helped the national team score 163 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
