Karachi: Shoaib Malik became the first Asian and Pakistani cricketer to join the 10,000 run club.
Senior Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik scored 74 for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa against Balochistan in the National T20 Cup, bringing his total to 10027 in the shortest format. He crossed the 10,000 milestone in the T20 format. Chris Gayle (13296) and Pollard (10370) have become the first Asian and Pakistani cricketers to become the third cricketer in the world to do so.

Shoaib Malik crossed this milestone in his 395th match, during which his average was more than 37 while his strike rate was 125.47. Shoaib hit 299 sixes and 788 fours.
Top-ranked Gail played 404 matches, hitting 978 sixes and 1,026 fours, while Caron Pollard hit 685 sixes and 664 fours in 518 matches.

Interestingly, the second Pakistani player after Shoaib Malik in this list is Muhammad Hafeez Koso, his total number of runs in this format is 6420, although he has played 280 T20 matches so far. Kamran Akmal has also crossed the 6,000 milestone.
