Abu Dhabi: Multan Sultans defeated Karachi Kings by 12 runs in PSL match.
In the 16th match of Pakistan Super League played in Abu Dhabi, Multan Sultans batted first and scored 176 runs in the stipulated 20 overs in reply to which Karachi Kings could score only 164 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Sharjeel and Babar Azam started the innings for Karachi Kings. Sharjeel Khan was run out for 4 runs and Martin Guptill was out for just 11 runs off 16 balls while Najibullah Zardari also scored 11 runs.
Babar Azam formed a crucial 77-run partnership with Chadwick Walton, who was dismissed for 35 in the first over. Karachi Kings needed 23 runs in the last over to win but Imran Khan took 3 wickets in the last over.

Babar Azam remained on the wicket till the end, he remained unbeaten on 85 off 63 balls, his innings included 4 sixes and 5 fours. For Multan Sultans, Imran Khan took 3 wickets and Imran Tahir took 2 wickets.
Earlier, Karachi Kings decided to field first after winning the toss against Multan Sultans. Rehmanullah and Mohammad Rizwan started the innings for Multan Sultans but Rehmanullah had already given the wicket to Emad Wasim in the over. Could make

Sohaib Maqsood played an aggressive innings of 31 off 14 balls and Riley Rousseau was also dismissed for 44 off 24 balls while captain Rizwan was run out for 29. Khushdal Shah played a responsible innings and scored 44 runs and he remained unbeaten.
For Karachi Kings, Thisara Perera took 2 wickets, Emad Wasim and Waqas Maqsood took one wicket each.
