Motorway abuse case: Abid’s wife arrested

Abid, the main accused in the motorway rape case, could not be arrested but his wife has also been taken into custody after his mother.

A search operation was conducted in Kasur last night for the arrest of Abid, the main accused in the motorway rape case, and the fields spread over a distance of 2 km were cordoned off and searched.

Five relatives of accused Abid, including a woman, are still in custody in the case.

According to police sources, Bushra Bibi was married to Abid for the second time. She has a daughter from her first husband Abdul. Bushra hails from Tandlianwala Tehsil, Faisalabad District.

Police say the detainees contacted Abid two days ago.

It should be noted that on the night of September 9, at around 1.30 pm, a woman was tortured and gang-raped in front of her children on the motorway near Gujjarpura.

According to the FIR, the woman’s car was stopped due to running out of petrol and she was waiting for her husband to come. She had also sought help from the motorway police but could not get any help.
