Mobile usage has made life easier, say 63 percent of Pakistanis in the survey

A survey conducted by Telenorasia revealed that 63 percent of Pakistanis believe that mobile devices and mobile technology have played a positive role in improving their living conditions, employment and skills.

According to a report published in Dawn newspaper, a report based on more than 8,000 mobile internet users in eight countries of South Asia and South East Asia observed that in the last 3 years, mobile phones and internet in workplaces or offices have increased. How is it affecting the normal lives of people?

To mark Telenorasia’s 25th anniversary, a report titled ‘Digital Life Decode’ was released, which analyzed how people in Asia are changing their daily lives using mobile phones in the post-Covid-19 era. are doing and adopting new civilization and culture.

The study was conducted in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Telenor Asia head Jürgen Rostrup said in a statement that the study cites growth, productivity and economic opportunities in mobile connectivity, adding that we are trying to find out whether the technology citizen and how it is used among rural populations, large companies, SMEs, industries and executives.

In addition to mobile phones being used as a source of income, half of the population in the survey believes that mobile phones have given them new jobs and income opportunities that were not available before Covid-19.

The study also shed light on quality of life in which people believed that mobile phones not only provided income and employment but also had a positive impact on their quality of life.

Half of the people in the survey believed that using mobile for work helps to improve their quality of life, while 46 percent of people in Pakistan believe that mobile technology has brought about a positive change in their quality of life. 44 percent of women believe that mobile technology has given them new job opportunities.

However, people are also concerned about how they will be able to keep their skills up to date with technology.

Speaking on the importance of workplaces, Irfan Wahab Khan, Chief Executive Officer, Telenor Pakistan, said that this is an important moment for businesses as companies around the world are adopting new ways of working.

In this context, it was mentioned that freelancers, entrepreneurs and technology enthusiasts in Pakistan can create employment opportunities by understanding the opportunities of mobile connectivity, besides mobile technology has created new income opportunities for people.

According to the study, 8 out of 10 respondents believe that mobile technology has increased their efficiency and effectiveness, while more than half believe that their personal performance and development has increased by 20 percent or more.
