Like Holocaust, anti-Islamic material should also be banned, Imran Khan’s letter to Zuckerberg

Prime Minister Imran Khan has called on Facebook, the world’s largest social networking platform, to ban Islamophobia and anti-Islamic hate content like the Holocaust.

In a letter to Facebook’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg, the Prime Minister said: “I want to draw your attention to the growing Islamophobia that encourages hatred, extremism and violence around the world. This is being done especially through social media platforms especially Facebook.

“I appreciate the steps you have taken to ban posts that raise questions or criticize the Holocaust, which was the culmination of the Nazi genocide of Jews in Germany and Europe,” he said.

“Today we are witnessing similar organized massacres against Muslims in different parts of the world,” he said.

“Unfortunately, in some states, Muslims are being denied their democratic personal choices, from dress to worship, and their citizenship rights,” he lamented.

“Anti-Muslim laws and measures in India, such as the CAA and NRC, as well as targeted killings of Muslims and blaming Muslims for the spread of the corona virus, reflect the abominable trend of Islamophobia,” the prime minister wrote.

Imran Khan said that “Islam is being linked to terrorism in France and the publication of blasphemous sketches targeting our Prophet and Islam is allowed.”

The Prime Minister said that in view of the increasing abuse and immorality of Muslims on social media platforms, I call for a similar ban on Islamophobia and anti-Islamic hate content on Facebook. Imposed for the Holocaust.

In the last part of the letter, the Prime Minister said that the message of hatred should be completely banned.

The Prime Minister said that the world should not wait for a genocide against Muslims before a complete ban on Islamophobia as is happening in India and Kashmir.

“This in itself is a reflection of prejudice and bias, which will encourage radicalism,” he said.

It may be recalled that at the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, the Prime Minister drew the attention of the international community to the incidents of Islamophobia and took necessary steps to prevent illegal incitement to provocation, hatred and violence. Had emphasized

He also suggested setting aside an international day to fight Islamophobia.

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan on several occasions on the occasion of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly had warned the international community in very clear words about the growing Islamophobia.

In his address to the General Assembly, the Prime Minister had said that Islamophobia had spread rapidly in the world after 9/11, created divisions and made it a problem for Muslim women to wear hijab, women are wearing hijab. But in some countries it is banned and they have a problem with it. In some countries it is allowed to take off clothes but not to wear them.

He had said that Islamophobia was on the rise in the West, adding that no religion in the world taught terrorism and extremism, adding that a wrong impression had been created about Islam in the world. He tried to link Islam with terrorism and extremism, which has caused suffering to Muslims all over the world.

The Prime Minister had said that the international community should pay attention to the reasons for this. There are extremists in all societies but no religion promotes extremism. Before 9/11, more suicide attacks were carried out by Tamil Tigers who were Hindus but no one. Did not call Hindus extremists, similarly Japanese pilots committed suicide attacks in World War II, showing that religion has nothing to do with extremism.

The Prime Minister had also said that he did not agree with the reform of extremist and enlightened Islam because Islam is the only one that our Prophet (PBUH) brought.

He said that we have not been able to present the true identity of Islam in the world, certain people in the West are deliberately arrogant but the majority do not know it, they need to be told how much our Prophet (peace be upon him) is for us.

The Prime Minister had made it clear that our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) lives in the hearts of Muslims. When someone insults us, our hearts ache, and the pain that touches the heart is far more painful than the pain that touches the body. It hurts Muslims as much as it hurts Jews over the Holocaust.

“We have to realize other human beings in a humane society. The West needs to understand that,” he said.

The Prime Minister further said that we do not want freedom of expression to be used to ridicule and insult our Prophet (PBUH) as it hurts us.
