Leading footballer Cristiano Ronaldo also fell victim to Corona

Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has also contracted the corona virus, which was confirmed after testing positive.

According to Reuters, the Portuguese Football Federation said in a statement that Cristiano Ronaldo’s code-19 test was positive.

The 35-year-old Ronaldo is in good health and has no symptoms, but is in isolation, the statement said.

Ronaldo will not be able to represent his team against Sweden in the next match of the UEFA Nations League.

The Portuguese Football Federation says that after Ronaldo’s test came positive, other players of the team were also tested, but all of them tested negative and other players will be available for the match against Sweden.

Ronaldo, a five-time Footballer of the Year, represented Portugal in two friendly matches in the League of Nations, where the match ended in a draw.

It is believed that Ronaldo plays for Italian club Juventus and his participation in Serie A and next week’s Champions League match has become doubtful after the test of Code-19 came positive.

The PSG said in a statement that three Paris Saint-Germain players had tested positive for corona virus and would follow health protocols.

The club did not reveal the identities of all the players, but sources confirmed to foreign news agencies that Neymar was among the three players, while the other two players, Angel Di Maria and Leandro Peredis, also tested positive.

Brazilian media reported that Neymar and his 9-year-old son, as well as his 55-year-old father, had contracted the virus because they were both on holiday with Neymar.

Later on September 24, the famous Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic also tested positive for Code-19.
