The release of several films this year has been delayed as a result of the corona virus spreading from China to the rest of the world in December 2019.

Now a report has claimed that this may be the first film in the James Bond series that will not be released in cinemas but will be acquired by a streaming service.

Apple, Netflix and other streaming services are interested in buying No Time to Die rights, according to a Variety report.
The film rights studio MGM has so far lost 80 million (over 12 billion Pakistani rupees) on the film’s postponement.
Earlier, other studios Paramount and Sony also made millions of dollars by selling their films such as Greyhound, Coming to America and other streaming services, as the corona virus epidemic has not yet taken over the cinema business.
“We are not talking about rumors, the film is not for sale but its release has been postponed till April 2021,” an MGM spokesperson told Variety.

However, the report quoted sources as saying that it is possible that the Bond series film will be sold to the streaming service as MGM has opened the door to sell it.

According to the report, the studio is demanding 600 million (over 96 billion Pakistani rupees) from the streaming services for the film.
This price is too high for streaming services as no service has ever bought a movie at such a high price.
It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

The film is thought to have cost more than 250 million and has been partnered with a number of companies that will not be happy with the streaming service deal.
The James Bond series is one of the most popular franchises in the film industry, with the movie Specter, released in 2015, grossing 88 880 million worldwide, while Skyfall in 2012 grossed over 1 billion.
