Abu Dhabi: Islamabad United defeated Lahore Qalandars in PSL 6 match.
In the ongoing Pakistan Super League match in Abu Dhabi, Islamabad United scored 151 runs in the allotted 20 overs thanks to Asif Ali’s aggressive innings in response to which the entire Lahore Qalandars team returned to the pavilion for 130 runs.

From Lahore Qalandars, captain Sohail Akhtar and Fakhruzzaman gave the team a good start. Sohail was dismissed for 34 and Fakhruzzaman for 44 after which no batsman could enter the double figure.
Muhammad Hafeez (8), Zeeshan Ashraf, James Faulkner and Ben Ding (1), Tim David (3) and Rashid Khan (4) were all out. For Islamabad United, Mohammad Musa took 3 wickets, Shadab Khan and Fawad Ahmed took 2 wickets each while Ali Khan took one wicket.
Earlier, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan decided to bat first after winning the toss against Lahore Qalandars, which was proved wrong by the Lahore Qalandars bowlers. Usman Khawaja, who started the innings, returned to the pavilion without opening an account.
James Faulkner added to Islamabad’s woes by dismissing Rohail Nazir for one, Hussain Talat for eight and previous match hero Colin Monroe for four, while Haris Rauf ended captain Shadab Khan’s innings at five.

Later, Asif Ali teamed up with Iftikhar Ahmed to cover up the failure of the top order. Asif Ali scored a half century in an aggressive manner. He was dismissed for 75 off 43 balls while Iftikhar Ahmed returned to the pavilion for 49 runs. For Lahore Qalandars, James Faulkner took 3 wickets, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf took 2 wickets each.

It should be noted that Islamabad United had defeated Quetta Gladiators by 10 wickets in the last match.
