Soldiers on both sides have been reported injured in fresh clashes between Indian and Chinese troops on the disputed Sikkim border.

According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), tensions are once again rising over the disputed border area between China and India. Troops from both countries have been reported injured in the latest clashes near the Nakula sector of North Sikkim, between Nepal and Bhutan.

According to a foreign news agency, the Indian Army has stated that a minor clash took place between Chinese and Indian troops in the Nakola sector of Sikkim on January 20, but local commandos quickly took control of the situation.

On the other hand, the Indian authorities have claimed that the Chinese troops on patrol tried to cross the border towards India, but the Indian forces tried to stop them, during which a clash took place between the two forces.

It should be noted that six months ago, there were clashes between Chinese and Indian forces in Ladakh in which it was confirmed that there were 20 Indian soldiers during one clash. The two countries later withdrew their forces by consensus under an agreement.
