Indian team will not visit Pakistan for Asia Cup, Indian Cricket Board

Dubai: Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) secretary and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chief Jay Shah says that the Indian team will not visit Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023.

Indian media reports have claimed that the secretary of the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) and the head of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Jay Shah has announced that the Indian cricket team will not come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023.

Jai Shah, the son of Indian Home Minister Amit Shah, took away the hosting of the Asia Cup from Pakistan and indicated to play the event at a neutral venue. Earlier, in the 36th session of the Indian Board, there was a discussion regarding sending the Indian team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.

The Indian team last visited Pakistan for the Asia Cup in 2008, since which India has refused to send its team to Pakistan, blaming it for the Mumbai attacks.

It should be remembered that in the 2008 Asia Cup, India had to face defeat against Sri Lanka.
