Meanwhile, a report in the Indian newspaper The Hindu said that 10 people, including six civilians, were killed in firing by the Pakistan Army in four districts of occupied Kashmir.

The dead included three Army and one Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, while more than 20 were injured, the report said.

On Friday morning, the Pakistan Army Public Relations Department said in a statement that the Indian Army fired indiscriminately on the Line of Control, firing rockets and mortars at Rukh Chakri and Khanjar sectors and targeting civilians in Samahni village.

One civilian was martyred and three others, including two women, were injured in the firing.

The statement said that the Pakistan Army retaliated by targeting Indian military posts.
