India is a scattered and destitute country, Obama’s book is a strong criticism of India

New York: Former US President Barack Obama has said in his new book that fanaticism and extremism have permeated Indian society at both the public and private levels and hostility towards Pakistan is the best way to highlight national unity in India.

Former US President Barack Obama’s new book A Promised Land, published on November 17. In his book, Obama has uncovered some important facts about anti-Muslim extremism in India and anti-Pakistan sentiment.

On pages 600 and 601 of the book, Obama cites a meeting with former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his visit to India in November 2020, and wrote in his personal opinion that “growing anti-Muslim sentiments have fueled Hindu nationalist BJP.” Strengthened the influence of the PK (remember that the main opposition party at that time was the BJP).

Obama said the issues of extremism, fanaticism, hunger, corruption, nationalism, ethnicity and religious intolerance have become so strong in India that no democratic system can bind them permanently, if all these issues are temporary. Even if they get under control, if economic growth is hampered or demographic change or the rise of a powerful political leader, people again fall prey to extremism and rebellion.

In his book, Barack Obama praised Manmohan Singh’s rise to the post of Prime Minister, but also said that the Sikh minority in India is often targeted.
