In Finland, a 16-year-old girl became prime minister for one day

Like the Hollywood and Bollywood movies, in the European country of Finland, the government surprised everyone by giving a 16-year-old girl the responsibilities of a symbolic prime minister for just one day.

The Finnish government appointed 16-year-old Eva Mortu as prime minister as part of a campaign launched by the international organization Plan International to provide opportunities for women and gender equality (Girls Takeover).

The Finnish government has appointed Eva Mortu as its one-day prime minister on the occasion of International Girls’ Day, celebrated annually by the United Nations (UN).

A statement from the Finnish government stated that “Eva Mortu will serve as the symbolic Prime Minister for one day on October 7.

Eva Morto, who served as prime minister for a day, did not legislate or regulate government affairs, but as prime minister she oversaw everything.

The government statement said that one day the Prime Minister met with various senior government officials and discussed issues such as gender equality and creating opportunities for girls.

One-day Prime Minister Eva Morto also discussed important issues such as harassment of women during a meeting with top government officials at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Eva Mortu also met with the Prime Minister of Finland, Sana Marin, and thanked him for providing an opportunity to fulfill his important responsibility and understanding.

At the end of the day, in her speech, Eva Morto thanked the Finnish government and other officials, including the Prime Minister, and said that she had never wanted to be in the Prime Minister’s Office.

Eva Mortu returned to the government on the evening of October 7 after serving as the symbolic prime minister all day.

It should be noted that the Prime Minister of Finland Sana Marin also became the youngest Prime Minister of the world in December 2019.

Sarah Marin became prime minister at the tender age of 34. Sana Marin became prime minister for the first time under a coalition of five Finnish political parties, led by women.
