In Filims portrays men as ‘heroes’, women as ‘conspiratorial witches’,Sonam Kapoor

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has said that she is “scared” of statements made about women over the past few months.

He added that men in the film industry are never talked about in this way.

The criticism leveled by Sonam Kapoor over the past few months is in a way the aftermath of the June 14 death of actor Shant Singh Rajput.

Actress Riya Chakravarty was arrested during the investigation while Deepika Padukone, Shardha Kapoor and Sara Khan were summoned for questioning.

According to the Hindustan Times, in an interview with Cosmopolitan India, Sonam Kapoor said, “I did not face this criticism but I was shocked to see it happen to the women who work with me.”

Sonam Kapoor said that she is scared when she sees women being targeted so easily.

The actress added that no one has ever talked about a man in the same way as they talk about women.

“It’s like we’ve gone back decades,” she said.

Sonam Kapoor said that if you are a woman associated with the fashion and film industry, you are not considered an artist or a creative person, instead her character is questioned.

The actress further said that all men and women are the same in the film industry but men are made ‘heroes’ while women are made ‘conspiratorial witches’.

“We are artists, what is the difference between us and a male actor or director?” They are made ‘heroes’ and women are made ‘conspiratorial witches’ and I feel bad about that.

Sonam Kapoor said that it is more strange that some women are pushing this statement, there are a lot of things that should not have happened.

It may be recalled that a day after the death of Shant Singh Rajput, Sonam Kapoor had criticized those who targeted her close associates and colleagues.
