If you want to lower your blood pressure, try stretching exercises

Toronto, Canada: Stretching exercises can help control blood pressure better, a new study has found. On the contrary, some experts insist that bodybuilding exercises can be better than brisk walking.

Studies show that stretching five days a week, just 30 minutes a day, helps a lot in controlling blood pressure. But it is also known that the benefits of aerobic exercise are important, which is also a useful practice.

This is the best way to reduce the amount of exercise you do at home, even when you are in a lockdown. Interestingly, stretching exercises at any time of the day can have similar benefits. The study was conducted by Phil Chillibeck, a professor at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada.
Dr. Phil says that stretching can also be done while watching TV, and if stretching is done five days a week, for half an hour, its benefits begin to appear in the second month. But Dr. Phil said there was no substitute for walking to reduce stress.

With that in mind, Dr. Phil decided to try both walking and stretching. However, he says that stretching makes the blood vessels flexible and improves blood flow in them. This lowers blood pressure.

They chose 40 men and 30 women in Atkal. All were given the choice of stretching or walking for 30 minutes five days a week. They were told to maintain this routine for two months.

The majority of participants either had blood pressure just above normal, ie 130/85 to 139/89, or had first-degree blood pressure, from 140/90 to 159/99. The average age of all participants was 61 years. The results showed that stretching was also a great success in controlling blood pressure.

It can be said that stretching exercises can help a lot in controlling blood pressure.
