Karachi: Actor-producer Humayun Saeed says that if the Pakistani government supports him financially, we can also make a drama like “Ertugrul”.
A video of Humayun Saeed has gone viral on social media in which he is seen talking to the host of a private channel about the drama serial “Ertugrul Ghazi”. The host asked Humayun Saeed if after the way the drama “Ertugrul” was liked in Pakistan, now our industry is also thinking of making more similar dramas on Islamic history.
In response to this question, Humayun Saeed said that if our industry is not thinking of making plays like “Ertugrul” then we should think and we should make such plays.
Humayun Saeed said that in the past we used to make plays based on Islamic history such as “Tipu Sultan”, “Babar” and “Muhammad Bin Qasim” etc. However, they have been made for a long time and it is about 30. It’s 40 years old. But in today’s world where the quality of production has reached, dramas are made at great cost and production houses need financial support.
Humayun said that if I wanted to make a play like “Ertugrul”, I could try but I could not make such a play alone. The Turkish government also supported the production of the drama serial “Ertugrul”. So if our government also supports us financially and not only me but another good producer should help and should do so that we can do this kind of production.
