In the ICC Test rankings, Babar Azam moved up one place to fifth.
The rankings released after the Southampton Test made no difference to the top four positions. Steven Smith is first, Virat Kohli is second, Marinus Lubushin is third and Ken Williamson is fourth.
Babar Azam has moved up one place to fifth position. David Warner, who had made room for them, had to take a step back to sixth. This is followed by Ben Stokes, Chhattisgarh Pujara, Joe Root and Ajinkya Rahane in the top 10.
Muhammad Abbas has moved up two places to eighth position in the bowlers’ list. Pete Cummins remains in power, with Stuart Broad taking a leap to second place.
Neil Wagner is in third position, followed by Tim Southee, Jason Holder, Kagiso Rabada, Mitchell Start, Muhammad Abbas, Jaspreet Bamra and Trent Bolt.
