Emerging Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan has stepped into the entertainment industry with the film ‘Kedarnath’, in which her work is being lauded, but did you know that the only way for Sarah to get here is acting? Not only did I have to learn but I also had to work hard on myself.
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Kedarnath’, while her second film ‘Simba’ will also be released on the 28th of this month.
Sara Ali Khan herself had said in several interviews that she was overweight before stepping into Bollywood, partly because of her love of food and partly because of hormonal issues, which she still struggles with.
In an interview, the actress revealed that when she returned to India after studying abroad, her mother could not recognize her at the airport, one of the reasons being that Sarah weighed 96 kg, while coming to India. Earlier, she had planned to lose weight before becoming a part of Bollywood.

Sarah said she cried in front of her mother because she wanted to be an actress, after which Amrita advised her to lose weight, after which she studied abroad as well as exercised to lose weight. By the way, Sarah and Amrita didn’t even talk to each other on video during this time.
“When I returned to India after losing 30 kg from 96 kg, my mother did not recognize me at the airport. I had changed a lot and she only recognized me by looking at my bags,” she said.
Sarah said it took her one to one-and-a-half years to lose weight.
Sarah, who studied in the United States, said that she gained weight at the beginning of university but also lost it before the end with the help of strict diets and versions.
Speaking of the film, Sarah’s work in her first film ‘Kedarnath’ is being highly appreciated.
Kedarnath has so far earned Rs 32 crore since its release.
