Germany: German police have arrested a gravedigger accused of extracting gold teeth from the mouths of the dead or stealing their jewelery, and an investigation has found him a habitual offender.
People in the main cemetery in the Bavarian town of W بrzburg suspected that the gravedigger was silently removing gold teeth from the men’s mouths before or after the burial. Police have arrested him and charged him with “disturbing men after death” and “desecrating” them.
Local police have arrested the gravedigger and launched an investigation, and police say there have been 20 cases of tooth theft since September 2019. With these incidents, a woman’s ring has been stolen.
Upon initial reports, police raided the gravedigger’s home and seized about 30 grams of gold, 11 gold teeth or shells and a ring.
Police say the gold was stolen from men buried in the central cemetery. However, this has been done very cleverly and has been stolen from people who died many years ago instead of recently. However, further legal action is required.
Further investigations are underway, but the gravedigger says he is not a habitual offender, but pulls out gold teeth and shows them to his friends and does not sell them.
