Get women into regular walks and get rid of high blood pressure

New York: A new study has found that women who walk for half an hour a day are less likely to suffer from chronic high blood pressure. But experts insist the walk should be done regularly.

In many countries, the standard of physical exertion for middle-aged and elderly women is set so that they can cover a mile in 30 minutes. The higher the walking speed, the better. The study is published in the journal Hypertension.

The study included middle-aged and elderly women between the ages of 50 and 79. A total of 80,000 women who have undergone menopause were included. The report also says that sedentary lifestyle increases the risk of serious heart disease in women.

Do not sit for more than nine hours

It is important for women to avoid constant sitting because sitting for more than 9 hours a day increases the risk of heart disease, especially heart failure, by 42%. That’s why experts insist on taking brisk steps on a daily basis to end this practice.

Eighty thousand women between the ages of 50 and 70 were studied for 11 years. Among the women who regularly walked and briskly, 11 to 21 percent had normal blood pressure. But women whose speed was less than two miles per hour had a 5 to 8 percent lower risk of high blood pressure. That is, the process of walking fast or slow walking is useful in every way.
