Reykjavik: During an online interview with Icelandic Prime Minister Catherine Jacob Duterte, a sudden earthquake shook the door and wall, but the Prime Minister controlled his emotions and completed the interview.

A video of the Icelandic Prime Minister spread like wildfire on social media, and it can be seen that the doors and walls of the Prime Minister’s room suddenly started shaking during the online interview.

Sensing the tremors, the Prime Minister said, “Oh my God! earthquake has come … “It doesn’t matter, it’s Iceland,” and it keeps happening. After that, the Prime Minister continued his speech and answered questions.

In a statement after the interview, Prime Minister Catherine stated that she was “OK” and that the “stronghold” of the Prime Minister’s Office had not been affected.
The Meteorological Department said that the magnitude 5.6 earthquake was felt during the Prime Minister’s interview while its epicenter was in the southwestern region of Hafnarfajudar.
