England won the second ODI against traditional rivals Australia by 24 runs to level the series 1-1 thanks to the excellent performance of all-rounders.
In the second ODI of the series played in Manchester, England won the toss and elected to bat first, then Bairstow became the wicket of Mitchell Starc without scoring a run.

Jason Roy also scored 21 runs as a result of a misunderstanding between the wickets, his innings reached all and England team had lost two wickets for 29 runs.
At this stage Joe Root was accompanied by captain Owen Morgan and together they raised the score to 90 but at this stage England’s batting line was shaken.
After the 39-run route, Joe Butler could not stay on the wicket for long while Morgan was dismissed for 42. Half of the English team had returned to the pavilion for 117 runs.

Sam Billings’ series of failures continued and he managed to score only 8 runs while Chris Vokes scored 26 and Sam Kiran scored only one run.
After losing 8 wickets for 149 runs, the innings of the English team seemed to end soon but on this occasion, the pair of Adil Rashid and Tom Kiran got in the way of the Australian bowlers.
The duo put on a 76-run stand for the ninth wicket to take Australia to 231 for nine in the allotted overs, with Tom Kiran scoring 37 and Adil Rashid an unbeaten 35.
Australia’s spinner Adam Zampa was the most successful bowler with three wickets while Starc took two wickets.

As Australia chased down the target, Joffra Archer ended David Warner’s Marcus Stevens innings with two early wins for his team.

At this stage, Aaron Finch was accompanied by Marinus Labushin, and the two players put on a 107-run partnership to take the score to 144, brightening their team’s hopes of victory.

The score had just reached 166 when Sam Kiran piled up Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc on two consecutive balls.
Alex Carey resisted for a while but he too could not stop the England team from winning and with the dismissal of the 36-run batsman, the entire Australian team piled up 207 runs.
