ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that issuance of domicile to 25,000 Indians from occupied Kashmir is unacceptable and it is also necessary to stop India.
First India’s attempt at illegal annexation of IOJK & now its attempts to alter IOJK’s demographic structure incl by issuance of domicile certificates to 25,000 Indian nationals are all illegal, in violation of UNSC resolutions & international law, incl 4th Geneva Convention.

On social networking site Twitter, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that all Indian attempts to change the proportion of population in the Occupied Valley, including the first attempt to illegally occupy occupied Jammu and Kashmir and now issue domicile certificates to 25,000 Indian citizens, were completely illegal. And in violation of international law and Security Council resolutions, including the Fourth Geneva Convention.
I have contacted the UN Secretary General and I am also talking to other world leaders. It is important to stop India’s progress in this unacceptable direction so that it can further the legal and internationally guaranteed rights of the people of Kashmir. It hurts and severely disrupts peace and security in South Asia.
